What objectives did you want to achieve when you decided to launch the online photo gallery?

Our main objective with the implementation was to increase our employee engagement while providing a platform for a complete robust online learning experience. In order to engage our team in the platform, we needed a tool that would deliver some excitement internally. The online photo gallery free tool fulfilled this purpose. It allows team members in any store across the country to share funny photos and to stay up to date on events that have taken place within our community.

Our main goals were:

  • To demonstrate the success of our promotions and community sponsorships
  • To exhibit stores that have experienced our retail re-fresh program
  • To celebrate store openings, incentives and other key events.

To accomplish all our proposed goals, we had all team members involved by taking pictures and sharing their ideas through the web photo gallery.

Our most visited online photo gallery is definitely the annual awards night.

There are many photos from this event with over 400 people that attended from stores, industry and our team members.

What are the best categories you have launched in the online photo gallery?

The best categories are definitely new store re-fresh and store openings.

How regularly would you recommend uploading new content? And why?

We only load new content to the web photo gallery either when a store opens or when an event occurs. These events usually occur once per quarter.

What advice would you give to brands that are thinking of using this tool?

  • Allow a number of key people in the business to load photos.
  • Have a camera handy at all events.
  • Get the team involved. Ask the team to submit photos of competitions and promotions.
